Beginner Yoga

Beginner Yoga is an introduction to yoga and the fundamentals of alignment and breath. With an emphasis on classical yoga postures, these classes cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, concentration, and relaxation. This beginner class provides the foundational tools to build a life long yoga practice and is taught at a pace where students can deepen into a pose, fine tune their alignment and gain greater awareness. *No experience necessary. Suitable for all levels including those with injuries and/or other chronic conditions, as well as women who are pregnant. 

All Levels Yoga

All levels yoga is a multi level class for students of all levels. Students will practice a carefully designed sequence based on traditional poses and will be given modifications depending on their level. All Levels Yoga emphasizes correct alignment of all parts of the body within each yoga pose. This precision in approach builds strength and stamina, balance and flexibility. *No experience necessary. Suitable for all levels including those with chronic conditions and women who are pregnant. 

Continuing Yoga

Continuing yoga is for those with previous yoga experience. This class will build on the introductory and classic poses. Variations of the yoga postures are introduced and postures are held for longer timings. Shoulder stand variations and head stand are taught.  *Minimum of 6 months yoga experience recommended.

All Levels Mindful Yoga Flow

Slow alignment focused movements (vinyasa or flow) from pose to pose in an enhanced sequence of Surya Namaskar (sun salutation). This class includes fascia release with foam roller and massage balls. It also includes deep relaxation and breath/movement awareness.  Adding hydration (by foam rolling) and bouncing (by pulsing and varying movements in a yoga pose) complements any yoga practice toward toned muscles and a healthy, pain free, and youthful body. *No experience necessary. Suitable for all levels including those with chronic conditions and women who are pregnant.

Yoga for Back, Neck & Shoulder Pain

This yoga practice specifically targets the stiffness and tension harbored in your neck, shoulders, and back. Feel your posture improve, your energy levels increase, your tension headaches subside, and the stress melt away as you alleviate the tension here. *No experience necessary. Suitable for all levels including those with injuries and/or other chronic conditions, as well as women who are pregnant. 

Chair Yoga

Chair Assisted yoga is designed for beginners and for persons with limited range of motion capacity. Classic yoga poses are done with the help of a chair to facilitate possibilities and healthy alignment. *No experience necessary. Especially suited for persons of advanced age and/or movement disorders.

Restorative Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga moves slower and utilizes longer holds of seated and supine postures to target the ligaments, joints, and fascia of the body. Yin Yoga builds inner strength by cooling and calming holistically the mind, body & spirit. Props are used to create safe alignment and the ability to relax into each posture, and the postures are held for 2-5 minutes.

Restorative yoga focuses on relaxation and renewal along with effortlessness and ease. It is a therapeutic style of yoga that uses props to provide a completely supportive environment for total relaxation. The more your body is supported in poses the deeper the sense of relaxation.
